Welcome everyone, my name is Andrew Naeve and I am running for the Iowa State Senate seat in District 13. I am 25 years old and live approximately a mile and a half northwest of Andover, Iowa. After graduating from East Central High School in 2003, I was able to utilize my outstanding education to continue my schooling at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. At Cornell University, I worked towards my bachelor’s degree in Farm Business Management and Finance, while earning letters all four years and the position of captain of the Cornell Men’s Basketball team.

After graduation from Cornell in 2007, I was fortunate enough to try out with professional basketball teams in Finland and Germany, before settling down to fulfill my life long dream of working on my family’s farm. We are proud to say that I am the sixth generation of my family to do so. Cornell gave me many great things besides a great education, most importantly it is where I met Kristin, my fiancée, and it is where I gained the desire to run for public office. Kristin is a law student at Drake University and we will be married in August. Since 2008 I have been honored to serve my friends, neighbors, and community on the East Central School Board, and give back to the school district that gave me so many opportunities.

We want to run a positive campaign that focuses on the issues that are vital to the people of this district. To accomplish this goal our campaign will take me to every service club, civic group, church, school, downtown and grain elevator in the district. When I’m not there, I’ll be going door-to-door, visiting with people on their front porch and at their kitchen table. Most importantly we must get our message out.
